To
celebrate the 20th anniversary of the James Beard Foundation and Charlie Trotter’s restaurant in Chicago,
the James Beard Foundation welcomed chef Charlie
Trotter as the guest of honor at Chefs & Champagne 2007.
The annual lavish tasting party and fundraiser, featuring
Champagne Charles
Heidsieck®, wines from the Wölffer Estate
Vineyard and culinary offerings from more than 30 chefs from
around the country, was held on July 21 at the Wölffer
Estate Vineyard in Sagaponack, New York.
Chefs & Champagne is
considered the East End’s premiere culinary event. Funds
raised at the event will help to support the James Beard Foundation’s
mission and programs. A silent auction consisting of
lunches, dinners, wines, cookware and culinary tours
will also raise funds for the non-profit James Beard Foundation.
