Over
500supporters of The Frick Collection gathered
on May 8 for an elegant evening at the Park Avenue Armory in New
York. The occasion offered advance access to the keenly anticipated Haughton
International Fine Art Fair, one of the art world's preeminent
events, now in its fifteenth year. Over $270,000was
raised by the preview benefit in support of the Frick’s special
exhibitions program.
A greater number of the Frick’s Young Fellows than ever before
turned out for the event. They were joined by many members of its
Board, Council, Directors Circle, and others. Collectors and other
artworld figures also attended the preview, among them one less associated
with the Frick: rocker Jon Bon Jovi. He lingered
at the event, enjoying the range and variety of art on view.
