Wednesday, May 7,DKMS held their “Linked
Against Leukemia” Gala at Capitale in New York City. The evening
featured special musical performances by Natasha Bedingfield,Darryl ‘DMC’ Mc
Daniels and Sarah Connor. Actor/comedian, Mario
Cantone was the host and honorees were Cindy Crawford and Emanuel
Chirico, chairman & CEO, Phillips-Van Heusen. The event’s
honorary chairman was Bernd Beetz, CEO, Coty Inc.
and committee members included Lauren Santo Domingo, Vanessa
von Bismarck, and Viktoria von Wulffen.
Through “Linked Against Leukeumia,” DKMS (Deutsche Knochenmarkspenderdatei
or German Bone Marrow Donor Center) hopes to raise the necessary
funds to cover the $65 registration for marrow donors to help blood
cancer patients in need of a life-saving marrow transplant. Founded
