Born in Tehran, Iran, Nazee Moinian and her family moved to the United States at the onset of the Iranian Revolution. For 15 years Nazee and her siblings owned and managed a chain of French gift shops called Melonie de France, with stores in New York, New Jersey and Los Angeles, alongside other locations in Nice, Cannes and St. Tropez. She also volunteered as the UN representative for WIZO, a charitable Jewish Organization with offices around the world. In 2003 Nazee entered SIPA, the graduate school of Columbia University, to pursue a degree in International Affairs. Presently she is working at the Council on Foreign Relations as the consultant to Iranian affairs. Nazee and Joseph Moinian and their five children live in Manhattan.
