Black Astbury first appeared in Wedgwood pattern books in the early 20th century. The pattern of Grecian figures is a triumph of rare techniques, with each dinner plate adorned with 1,160 embellishments, hand-lined, gilded and banded in 24K gold. Five-piece place setting, $4,500.
